Product Description
If you talk to your children now, chances are they’ll talk to you later. The Communication Game a is a fun game that makes it easy for fathers and daughters to communicate with each other on “father-daughter” outings via a fun, casual “you ask, I answer” format. Cards with stimulating statements promote fun, enlightening conversation between a girl and her dad. No matter what your relationship is with your father/daughter, this game will help create a relaxing atmosphere to learn more about one another.
The game is designed for fathers with daughers’ age 10 or higher, but many fathers have played with daughters much younger. The game was invented over ten years ago by a father who was looking for a way to stay in touch with his daugter after being separated by divorce.
Includes a metallic box with 365 statement cards alphabetized into 26 clear packets, keepsake jounal, 2 instruction sheets, 1 straw, and a sticker. COMMUNICATION: Dads & Daughters Edition is the only game of its kind in the market and it provides a wonderful opportunity for dads and daughters to improve upon their relationship while also having fun and building positive memories.

The game comes in a nice tin (although the one I received was dented) but the game isn’t quite as described. I thought it would be a play-anytime/anywhere game for hubby and the kids to use as a tool to get to know each others interests daughters and dads generally don’t discuss, but when they read the instructions, it tells them to only use it at a restaurant. You get cards from A to Z, have to choose a local restaurant beginning with that letter (start with A, next time B, etc.) and – at the restaurant – use this game. (Try finding 26 local sit-down restaurants, especially finding places beginning with J, Q, or Z, and bringing a game with you.) Plus my kids felt the questions were stupid. I’ll check the cards and update this if I disagree with their assessment.

Creative product to get you way beyond ‘how was school? your day?’ The makers have done a lot of the brain work, you just follow the cards and gets you to the heart of the matter. Combining it with an evening out, 1:1 time, and done in the name of “playing a game” it’s very clever in helping build our most most valuable investment: relationships. Also comes in a nice metal box to help keep things organized. They’ve also listed optional scenarios for those living in smaller communities. Highly recommended!

We used this game as an activity for a Dad / Daughter Campout weekend. Communication between dads and daughters is very important and this is a great way to kickstart the sharing. There were many dads interested in the intended use of the game to be used between them and their girl(s) to initiate date nights and good communication between them.

Great game full of insightful questions that ‘connect’ the dad and daughter. Different than regular question/answer games because both of us have to think of a place that starts with the corresponding letter, which we do a day or so in advance. This way, we have a ‘date’ and we’re both thinking about it beforehand.
The most important part of it, at least for me, is that I learn things that interest her so that I can plan other activities. I also very much like the keepsake journal.
I would say that it’s definitely worth it to get this game.

Communication – A Father Daughter Game
It wasn’t that long ago that my husband and daughters seemed to have nothing in common to talk about. It’s amazing how such a fun and simple game like this can make such a difference in their relationship!
